Warm weather expected for marathon
The DMN posted a story about the warmer-than-average temperatures expected for Sunday's White Rock Marathon. Tips include wearing cheap layers of clothing you can discard and filling up on water now so you won't dehydrate, which I think most runners know to do. I've also heard that you should dress for temperatures 15 degrees higher than they actually are during a race, so I doubt I'll head out in anything more than shorts and a tank.
There's also a 30 percent chance of rain, which could either hurt or help. Sometimes it cools you off during a run, but when it stops, the humidity hits you. I'm a little concerned about it, but I'm not trying to set a PR or anything, so I'm just going to go slower than I had planned. It's not worth becoming ill or not being able to finish.
