A few random thoughts about today before I sign off until tomorrow morn:

-- You never get used to the smell.

-- Queens of the Stone Age would be a very sexy live band if you didn't have to watch it from a mile away.

-- Whoever thought of the beach-balls-at-rock-concerts thing is a tool.

-- A beef pie is not nearly as bad as it sounds.

-- The "no lawn chairs beyond this point" signs surrounding every stage are the best thing about this year's fest.

-- When a beer is four bucks, you don't waste a drop. Not that I would know, because I'm on assignment. ... Ahem.

-- It just occurred to me that that smell might have something to do with the beef pies.
