We've got tonight, 8-10

I'm gonna give you a bunch of links to this evening's offerings, but first, a very special message for lovers of Denton electro-acoustic duo Mom: C.J. Davis from Good Records told me earlier today that Mom's new EP, Little Bright, could appear on shelves at that store this afternoon. And he should know -- he's puttin' out the dang thing on his Pancakes For Mattie boutique label (he loves when you call it a boutique label). If you are anywhere near Good Recs today, stop by and pick one up. But only after you read last month's piece about why I love it so.

Back to our regularly scheduled show picks:

--The Cavern's got Something Dirty. [Putting hand over mouth in prudish fashion.]

--Austin's White Ghost Shivers headline an evening of "prohibition music" at the Granada. Hmm.

--The Slack will have a good ol' time at Barley House.

And for the Denton dudez, we have a bang-up show at SHQ, featuring Bridges & Blinking Lights, The Couture , White Light Fever and Captain Ahab.

Feel free to weigh in with the shows I missed, thoughts about Mom, rants about local music media and killer pie recipes. Tune in tomorrow for a suggested DOMA Music Showcase agenda.
