Johnny Depp, who's at a point in his career where he's apparently unafraid of being typecast as a pirate or a gonzo journalist, is set to play Hunter S. Thompson again in a movie. In The Rum Diary, he'll play a freelance journalist in 1950s Puerto Rico. He previously channeled Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Now if only he'd combine the late writer's style with his pirate persona and make Fear and Loathing in the Caribbean.
