Video gaga

If you read my article on Ghosthustler, you know I promised to show you the video for "Parking Lot Nights" (which has already been on many other sites, but that's ... OK). It was directed by Pete Ohs, whose last music video was The Arcade Fire's "Wake Up."

According to Ghosthustler lead singer Alan Palomo (who, from the video, looks like a more talented version of the dude from Entourage), Ohs contacted the band after hearing an MP3 of "Parking Lot Nights" on music blog Gorilla vs. Bear.

The director shot all the outdoor scenes in Cincinnati (where he be) and then added in the performance footage of Palomo and one of his bandmates, Gray Gideon, done in Denton and sent to him by the guys. Kind of surprising that Palomo and Gideon took that performance footage themselves, but then again, Palomo is a film student.

Of the final product, Palomo says, "We were just knocked off our asses." I am too. I've watched this video over and over and haven't gotten tired of it yet. MTV2 or MTVU, you listening?

Ghosthustler plays during The Party at the Granada on Saturday night. See you there ...

I LOVE it! The use of old Nintendo equipment rules... I just looked up the Power Pad -- that thing the dude was dancing on -- because I couldn't remember what it was. Turns out it used to come with "World Class Track Meet."

Aww. Nintendo history.

Palomo's resemblance to Adrian Grenier is uncanny.
