Meg White for president

IckyThump_Coverws.jpg

If you like the rock 'n' roll music, check out the White Stripes' latest album, Icky Thump. A lot of music critics raved about Jack White's other band, the Raconteurs, and how great it was that he was finally playing with a "real drummer." Their album was OK, but I got bored with it pretty quickly. So I'm happy to see Jack back with the much-maligned Meg White. Talent-wise, she may never be John Bonham or Dave Grohl or Danny Carey (or even Animal from the Muppets), but there's an energy when they get together that was sorely lacking when Jack went Meg-less. He seems to have a blast playing with his ex-wife/sister/whatever, and it shows through on songs like "Rag and Bone" and "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)." So all hail the great Meg White, and long may she thump.
