Let's get this over with

So the Aggies are aiming to hire Mark Turgeon to replace Billy Gillispie.

Turgeon is the coach at Wichita State.

The Wichita State athletic teams are known as the Shockers.

For anyone who has listened to The Ticket more than once, you may now insert your own joke. In your head, not here.

You said "insert" in conjunction with "the shocker." I would have rolled with "administer," but I'm sayin' though.

Actually, young Skin went to basketball camp in Lawrence and has a special place in his heart for "the surgeon."

That's a Mark Turgeon reference, not a shocker reference. But I'm sayin' though...

He'll do well - that roundball tree gots good roots....
